My journey in the social impact sector began when I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of mission-driven organizations in creating positive change. Inspired by their potential to address pressing social and environmental challenges, I set out to dedicate my career to supporting and empowering these organizations to amplify their impact.
Beyond my role at Crescendo, I actively participate as a speaker at industry conferences, sharing insights on strategic planning and non-profit management. These opportunities allow me to influence others in our field, inspiring them to embrace innovative approaches to their challenges.
With nearly 20 years of experience in non-profit management and local government financial consulting, I utilized my organizational leadership, financial analysis, and data interpretation skills to make a positive impact. I collaborated with over 300 cities, counties, redevelopment agencies, and special districts across California to conduct allocation audits and financial and economic analyses. I leveraged my organizational management, innovation, and strategic leadership skills during this time.
I hold a master’s in Public Administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. I believed that further education would benefit my social impact career, so I was accepted into the MovingWorlds Institute Global Fellowship Program. During my time there, I acquired additional tools in Human-Centered Design, social impact financing, and the practical application of the 17 United Nations Sustainability Goals through case studies and global volunteerism.
I reside in Southern California with my son Ian. When I’m not assisting clients, I volunteer on my church’s Board and Community Development Corporation, explore local eateries, start new DIY projects, create and listen to music, and enjoy the California coast.
